CNN/HBO featured me as a tech analyst on its The Nineties documentary this summer.

Why me, you wonder?

Back in the 1990s, I was the technology correspondent at ABC News. I was actually its first ever tech correspondent, appearing several times weekly to explain tech news, trends and fixes on Good Morning America, World News Tonight, 20/20 and Nightline.

Back then, I always had the feeling I was reporting on issues that would shape the future. In the recent Nineties series, though, I was in the kind of strange position of living in that future and looking back at what we thought was key at the time. Anyway. Here’s part one of episode six of The Nineties: The Information Age.

Here’s the trailer for the episode, in case you missed it ..
